Lenten Resources
Stations of the Cross
The Way of the Cross is more than a prayer—it’s a journey of solidarity with Christ and with all who suffer today. Across cultures and continents, the passion of Jesus is retold in the faces, art, and stories of God’s people.
Through Maryknoll’s Stations of the Cross resources, you’re invited to enter that journey through diverse expressions of faith, such as the haunting beauty of the Quechua Way of the Cross, the vibrant imagery of the African Stations, and the contemporary call to conversion in the Maryknoll Way of the Cross.
Each path leads us to the same truth: Christ walks with us still—among the poor, the displaced, the earth itself. Join us this Lent in walking that sacred road anew.
Quechua Way of the Cross
"Quechua Way of the Cross achieves the goal of bringing about a beautiful synthesis between the classical, traditional devotion of the Stations of the Cross and a contemporary portrayal of Jesus' passion and death." -Fr. Stephen P Judd, M.M.
- Padre Esteban P. Judd, M.M.
Maryknoll African Stations of the Cross
Charles S. Ndege is a Tanzanian artist who was commissioned to paint the Stations of the Cross on the walls of St. Joseph Mukasa Church in Mwanza. Just as Jesus has been depicted over the centuries attired in robes of the Jewish poor, Middle Eastern nobility, Renaissance princes, Flemish merchants, and English nobles, he is today rendered in a style and manner representative of the largest and fastest-growing Catholic community in the world, the church of Africa.
Maryknoll Way of the Cross
Take on this powerful adventure with Way of The Cross in today's world. Let's walk with Jesus in his last moments. Let's pray together, recognizing that his pain is felt everywhere by everyone. This connects us all, weaving a story of enduring faith and hope through our shared human experience.

Oremos juntos, reconociendo que su dolor se siente en todas partes por todos. Esto nos conecta a todos, tejiendo una historia de fe y esperanza duraderas a través de nuestra experiencia humana compartida.
