Bolivia Immersion Trip

November 9-19, 2026
 

Encounter Faith, Culture, and Global Solidarity in the heart of South America.  

Journey to Bolivia, where you'll encounter vibrant communities, learn about Maryknoll’s missionary work among the people, and witness the living Church in action. Through visits to local ministries, intercultural experiences, and time spent in nature, prayer, and reflection, you'll gain a deeper understanding of global solidarity, care for creation, and missionary discipleship.

During the trip, participants will visit communities in Cochabamba and the Chapare region—a rural area in northern Bolivia known for its valley rainforests and the Chapare River, a tributary of the Amazon. There, participants will have the opportunity to gain firsthand insight into the lives, faith, and traditions of local communities.

Trip Includes:

  • Visits to Maryknoll Projects in Cochabamba and Chapare
  • Learn from local ministries serving children and families in School Tutoring Programs
  • Visits to Small Christian Communities

    Experience Bolivia's rich cultural and spiritual heritage

    Masses with communities, daily prayer, reflection, and faith sharing

Cost: $1400

The trip cost includes accommodations, meals, and local transportation. 

Maryknoll immersion trips are a ministry designed to foster missionary discipleship. For over 100 years, the Maryknoll Fathers and Brothers have been engaged in the Church's global mission. By visiting the countries and projects where Maryknollers have accompanied and served people in their hopes and challenges on the periphery, participants return inspired to more deeply discern their own calling as missionary disciples.

Trip costs are calculated based on the expected number of participants, with each individual asked to contribute at least their share. Contributions beyond the required amount are appreciated, as they support others in participating in future trips. These contributions may be tax-deductible; donors should consult their financial and legal advisors for guidance.
