Fundraising and donations

Immersion trips are a ministry to help trip participants go deeper in their missionary disicpleship journey.  So for most trips, Maryknoll calculates the total trip cost and divides it by the expected number of participants and asks them to each donate that amount. However, you might find that you cannot afford to make the requested donation to cover your cost to participate.  If so, we suggest that you fundraise from family, friends, parish and school contacts to help cover the your requested donation. If that is not sufficient, and you cannot make the full amount of the requested donation and would like Maryknoll to subsidize part of your cost to participate, please use this form to make your request. 

Easy Steps to Fund raise for the mission Trip

1.  NETWORK

Create a list of you people in your network.  These are people who know you and who you think would be likely to support you in this effort.  This includes family  members, friends, people from your communities, mentors, your parish community, etc.

2.  OUTREACH

Email.  Write appeal letter. Use Facebook to create a fundraising campaign. Organize fundraising activities like bake sales, car wash, baby sitting, etc.

3.  FOLLOW-UP

Follow-up is important.  Call everyone who you personally contacted.

4.  TRACK YOUR PROGRESS

Check on the status of your fundraising goal. This will give you an idea of how much outreach you have left to do.

5.  THANK YOU

Be sure to send thank you notes to those who donated as soon as possible.

6.  SHARE

Don't forget to share your experience with those who made donations for this immersion trip. If they invested in you, they will want to hear about your experiences.
