2023 Lent

Return to me: Path to healing

Lent begins with a cry from the prophet Joel “Even now, says the Lord, return to me…” Our world is broken and hurt, and so are we. Creation seeks a return to wholeness, a sense of Shalom. Our Lenten journey begins with the recognition of our woundedness and desire for healing. The Gospel readings give us a roadmap to journey together to shed the layers of false self that keep us from the Easter wholeness of being in better relationships with God, self, and others.

We invite you to join us on a Lenten journey of healing using the inner room imagery from Ash Wednesday.  New this Lent, you will find at the end of every weekly Reflection Guide, a link to an exercise to help you go deeper into your inner room and begin to see yourself as God’s wonderful and beloved creation. It is through this process of inner healing and transformation that we are empowered to say “YES” to God’s invitation to join in the mission of love. Stay tuned…during Easter we will continue the journey from the upper room as we prepare to be re-commissioned and sent at the great feast of Pentecost.
