Program Details

Teachers and parish ministers play a unique role in leading and forming communities of missionary disciples. This program is designed to empower you in your ministry as you seek to strengthen your own missionary identity and invite others to reach out in faith, love, and solidarity to our sisters and brothers on the margins.

Our immersion program includes:
  • Professional and ministerial development before, during, and after travel
  • Accompaniment by a Maryknoll Mission Education professional
  • Encounter and relationship building with individuals, families, and communities in the host countries
  • Visits to Maryknoll programs and partner programs which serve as models for working with the poor and marginalized
  • Orientation to social, political, and economic realities
  • Daily reflections and faith formation activities
  • Ongoing support and consultation
