TopicCoal Exports and Care for Creation

Speaker: Jessie Dye, Earth Ministry

Date: Friday, April 26th,
Time: 7pm-9pm

About the Event: In the Northwest, we have been given the opportunity to protect those who live at subsistence and need a stable climate by keeping 150 million tons of coal out of Earth's atmosphere. Besides being a terrible threat to clean air and a healthy climate, coal export is a threat to NW fisheries, towns along the rail lines, and inland water ways. In this conversation, Jessie Dye of Earth Ministry will review the consequences of coal export from Northwest Ports, give an update about campaign against it, and explain why faith and religious leadership is so important to keeping coal in the ground. (View Announcement)
